 Accountable California

This website is a collaboration among social psychologists who study morality and politics. Our goal was to create a site that would be useful and interesting to users, particularly ethics classes and seminars, and that would also allow us to test a variety of theories about moral psychology. One of our main goals is to foster understanding across the political spectrum. Almost everyone cares about morality, and we want to understand –and to help others understand — the many different ways that people care.

Civil Politics non-profit organization that is run by a group of academics whose expertise lies in the use of data to understand moral psychology.  We regularly publish articles in scientific journals concerning the antecedents and consequences of specific moral views.  You can read some of our publications herehere, and here.  An article about our organization is available here.  The goal of this site is to help educate the broader public about research that relates to improving relations across divisions that have a moral dimension.
