Practical Academics

educate. empower. engage.
For people and organizations transforming the world.

Engaged employees, members, and students is the secret sauce of success. Misalignment, under-utilization, and dis-empowering practices degrade performance, increase turnover, and drive incompletion and drop-out rates.  Learning organizations win. Customer like empowered employees, organizations attract top candidates and operate more efficiently. Schools that leverage the power of learning teams and interactive strategies retain their students and produce more capable graduates who share their appreciations as alumni.

Public Programs

Interactive programs allow participants to advance their perspectives on areas of subjective learning. We operate learning platforms for personal development, career development, professional development, and civic and consumer education.

Designers and Mentors

The Instructional Artist Collective is a professional development membership community for:

  • Instructional Designers, Academic, Faculty, Coaches/Counselors, and Subject Matter Experts.

We provide programs and workshops on interactive program design and delivery to help you increase participant enrollment in your organizations, schools, and online programs.
We offer design, delivery, and marketing support along with a series Workshops on interactive strategies. We offer program discounts for members and solopreneurs.

Our programs are designed for participant engagement using four core design methodologies

Our programs develop you as a person, professional, or effective citizen while meeting your goals and interests. This is meaningful learning experiences, and what is meaningful is motivating.

Mutual accountability drives creativity, problem-solving and productivity. Mentors guide while your group sustains your attitude and altitude.

We use the best of both mediums: Online programs provide you the flexibility of time and place while saving travel time and costs. Face-to-face or video meetings permit complex conversations, rewarding activities, and relationship development.

Learning should be a positive learning experience. We use a variety of strategies to keep you engaged and practice your skills: Problem-based projects, role plays, case studies, gamification, and fictionalization.

Engagement means you will have a more positive learning experience, with a more long-lasting impact. Our programs are self-directed with weekly real-time meetings. We use interactive strategies in mentored small groups that meet your personal learning goals. If you’re not engaged, then you’re not learning and growing.
